Saying goodbye to a dear classmate..

This morning, a terrible, terrible news greeted me. A high school classmate passed away.

I sat still and stared at the monitor. This can't be true.

Looking back, it was a beautiful life she lived. She was pretty, popular and smart, she had a great family, lots of friends and recently, she earned an M.D. at the end of her name. I remember even telling her she'll be my doctor. It's so ironic. I'm sure she was able to help a lot of people during her lifetime. It's just her personal wound that she was not able to find a cure for. I had to look at her pictures everyday since I found out about the news. I still can't believe that she's already gone. She was only 28.

There are things that Juvy reminded me and I guess the many of us who know her.. everyday is a blessing. Treat people with kindness and touch as many lives as you can. We meet strangers everyday. We don't know them, their triumphs and their pains. A small smile to a stanger, a short 'how are you, how've you been' to an old friend would not hurt, in fact, there's that possibility that it can make a difference.

"A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest.. God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best". Farewell, dear Juvy.
