Again

This has been my longest sick leave ever. I have not worked for more than 3 weeks now. Before my leave, I went for a surgery and for the succeeding weeks, I had to learn how to function without my dominant hand. Not easy at all. I know I did the right thing and have gotten rid of something that's causing me pain. The doctor even told me I'm brave for deciding straight on to have the surgery. But then, along with it is the realization and hopefully soon, the acceptance that I also have to let go of something which I have been working on for the longest time.

This month has been a roller coaster ride for me. There was that 'shoot up the sky' kind of happiness when Paolo got a new job. There was also that almost 'six feet under' kind of feeling when I was at the departure level of NAIA. Leaving Manila is just so hard. I should not even complain. My life outside Manila is pretty okay... I think the only thing left to say is that there's no substitute for home, and home is an 8 hour flight away. It sucks everytime I think of it.
